Kazakhstani Fusion Material Testing Reactor Tokamak KTM is scheduled for 2017

The National Nuclear Center of RK is continuing the operations on construction completion of Kazakhstani Material Testing Reactor Tokamak KTM where material testing studies on various controlled fusion related problems will be carried out.

Currently, Tokamak KTM complex has been implemented for 80% that allowed conducting of KTM facility pilot startup in 2010. The financing of the remaining work on KTM complex project is being allocated from the national budget.

Tokamak KTM commissioning is scheduled in 2017. This project will be one of the main expositions at the forthcoming exhibition “Astana Expo-2017”.
