Alley of Peace Gains New Tree

As part of visit to the NNC RK, delegation representatives from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency planted a rowan tree on the Alley of Peace, established in the year of marking the 35th Anniversary of the Closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site.  

For both sides, this initiative holds special significance. Kazakhstan and Japan are linked by many years of scientific and technical cooperation, as well as by a shared understanding of the importance of preserving historical memory, exercising responsible stewardship of nuclear technologies, and strengthening international efforts in the interest of peace and security.   

The Alley of Peace continues its story, uniting memory, the present and hope for a peaceful future.
