For Reference. On August 29, 2016, a presentation of the book "Scientific, Technical and Engineering Work to Ensure the Safety of the Former Semipalatinsk Test Site" was held in Astana at the international conference "Building a Nuclear Weapon Free World ." The book presents the results of work on the conversion of the former military-industrial complex of the Semipalatinsk Test Site, as well as scientific and technical cooperation in the field of nuclear energy safety and radioecology, conducted by the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with foreign partners.
