On the threshold of the 35th anniversary of the Semipalatinsk Test Site shutdown and the International Antinuclear Action Day, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan is inviting anyone wishing to visit the exhibition hall of the Semipalatinsk Test Site’s history on August 18 and 20, 2026.

Venue: National Nuclear Center RK (Abai region, Kurchatov t., 2 Beibit atom Str.)
Program:
Visitors to the exhibition hall will be introduced to one of the most controversial but undoubtedly brightest pages of the national history narrating about the milestones of the test site development, nuclear test features, lives and activities of the outstanding experimental physicist Mr. I. Kurchatov and a number of other nuclear physicists.
The exhibition hall displays a variety of instruments, original reports of the 50s, dummies and photographs taken of the past period of the nuclear test site.

Important note: Anyone who wish should lodge an application by August 10, 2026 (for foreign citizens) and August 12, 2026 (for RK’s citizens) stating their full names, a desired time to visit, as well as attach copies of their identification documents (to obtain a permit to the premises of the National Nuclear Center).
