Modern Approaches in Biodosimetry: Experience Sharing under IAEA Project Framework  

The National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its work on studying and implementing international best practices in the field of biological dosimetry. 

As part of an IAEA technical cooperation project, an expert scientific visit  was conducted to specialized institutions in the Republic of Korea and the PRC, which host national biodosimetry laboratories.  

Experience study gained by Korean and Chinese counterparts is of significant importance for advancing the scientific, methodological and laboratory support of radiation safety system of Kazakhstan, as well as for adapting effective radiation risk management models at both the national and regional levels.  

The knowledge acquired and professional contacts established during the visit will be utilized to further develop the biodosimetry capacity of Kazakhstan, enhance laboratory methodologies, advance specialist training, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of radiation safety.
