Greenhouse Experiments

Starting from early this year, a series of model experiments has been started in greenhouse of the National Nuclear Center for oat crop (Avéna satíva).

The results of the series of laboratory experiments will significantly contribute to determination of parameters of radionuclides transition from soil, differing by type and nature of radioactive contamination, to plants. The parameters obtained shall serve for evaluation of radiation safety at high radiation contaminated areas, for assessing radiation dose to population caused by plants production, and when planning rehabilitation measures for the areas.
