Summer school “Young Physicist – 2026” continues to bring together school students interested in the natural sciences. Following a June session that brought together pupils from schools in Kurchatov, National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan has once again opened its doors to students – this time from Mayskiy District, Pavlodar Region.
Program included lectures by leading specialists from the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan on nuclear fusion, hydrogen technologies, magnetic field of the Earth, and the fundaments of radiation safety, as well as tours of NNC’s unique scientific facilities.
Packed program continued with a sports quest titled “Induction into Young Physicists” and an intellectual brain-ring competition, in which participants demonstrated the knowledge gained from the lectures and tours, while also showing attentiveness, agility, resourcefulness and teamwork.
In keeping with tradition, all participants received certificates of completion at the closing ceremony, while the winners and runners-up of the intellectual brain-ring competition were recognized with commemorative diplomas and prizes.
Summer school “Young Physicist” remains an important platform for promoting science among school students, fostering interest in contemporary scientific research and engineering disciplines, and guiding future specialists in their carrer orientation.
