The National Nuclear Center of RK Awarded FNCA “Best Research Team of the Year” Prize

During the 26th FNCA Ministerial Meeting, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded the “Best Research Team of the Year” prize. The award that given to the specialists of NNC, decided by a vote of the member states, recognizes the significant  contribution of NNC to FNCA research initiatives and its notable achievements in strengthening the non-proliferation regime. 

NNC RK is actively expanding its international collaboration in nuclear safety. A key focus of this effort is the participation of Kazakh specialists in technical meetings of Working Group B within the CTBTO Preparatory Commission. These meetings address critical issues related to enhancing the monitoring and verification of nuclear tests. 

Furthermore, the National Nuclear Center is successfully implementing a project in nuclear forensics, which includes the development of a prototype and the concept for a National Nuclear Forensics Library. The results of this work have been presented at international platforms such as the IAEA, FNCA and the ITWG, receiving high praise from experts. 

FNCA award reflects the recognition of the international community of crucial contribution of Kazakhstan to the development of nuclear technologies, the enhancement of global security, and the strengthening of the non-proliferation regime.
