October 9, 2025 – Kurchatov: The 11th International Conference was a significant event for scientists and experts working in the field of the peaceful use of atomic energy. Over the course of three days, participants discussed key areas of development in the industry, modern technological challenges, and prospects for international cooperation.
The conference program included plenary sessions, section meetings, and poster presentations. Topics covered ranged from the development of nuclear energy and new generations of reactor technologies to radioecology, strengthening the non-proliferation regime, and thermonuclear and hydrogen energy.
Another important event was the roundtable discussion, "Modern Nuclear Energy: Technology, Safety, Partnership.” Experts from countries with extensive experience in the construction and operation of nuclear power plants—Kazakhstan, China, Japan, the United States, and France—took part in the discussion. They shared their practical knowledge and approaches to developing advanced reactor technologies, small modular reactors, and closed fuel cycle technologies.
The final session summarized the conference's results, highlighting the quality of the presentations and the active involvement of the professional community in scientific discussions.
The conference's scientific program and the organization of technical tours to key facilities and sites of the enterprise received positive feedback. These tours demonstrated unique research infrastructure and modern capabilities.
