Visit of Representatives from US National Laboratories and Siebtechnik Company

From April 1 to 5, the representatives from Idaho National Laboratory (INL), Oak-Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and Siebtechnik company (Germany) visited the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  
During the visit, joint startup and adjustment operations were successfully carried out on the grinding system. This system is part of the production line for downblending and immobilizaton of irradiated high-enriched uranium (HEU) fuel from the IGR research reactor..  
Additionally, the preparation for the transfer of IVG.1M reactor spent fuel to the silo storage has been discussed.
This visit became an example of successful international cooperation in the field of nuclear safety and technology, emphasizing a high level of competence and coordination between countries.
