Memorandum of Cooperation Signed

  A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Indian Global Center for Nuclear Energy Partnership on the margins of the 65th Session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna.

“It is an important step towards scientific and technical cooperation between organizations of two countries” – said Erlan Batyrbekov, the Director General of NNC RK. – The National Nuclear Center offers a unique material and technical base, its experience and highly qualified personnel in area of nuclear power development for joint survey. I am convinced, that year after year our cooperation will widen, strengthen and enrich us with new scientific knowledge and contacts”.

         The parties stated their intention to develop cooperation on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, including issues on nuclear safety and physical protection system, radiation safety study, personnel development and many others.

         Global Center for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) – is an organization of India’s Department of Atomic Energy. Center conducts research, designs and develops nuclear systems, organizes training courses, workshops, lectures and practical courses on topical issues of Indian and international experts to create a team of trained specialists, and promotes the global partnership in area of nuclear power through joint research, training programs and consulting services.
