Republican State Enterprise “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy


On May 22, 2026, the XXV annual R&D Conference-Competition for Young Scientists and Specialists of RSE NNC RK finished its work.

42 works were submitted to the jury by the participants of the Conference-Competition.

Upon completion of all presentations, the jury evaluated the submitted works according to the established criteria and determined the prize winners.

Conference-Competition Results:

I. First prize, a diploma and monetary award were granted to:

1.   Asem ISAGALI – a Junior Researcher of the Center for Collection and Processing of Special Seismic Information, the Institute of Geophysical Research Branch RSE NNC RK, for the work entitled “Seismic Hazard Assessment in the Area of the Shulbinsk Hydroelectric Power Station” – applied research.

II. Second prizes, diplomas and monetary awards were granted to:

  1. Anastasiya NADEEVA – an Engineer of the experimental research group of the Laboratory of Monitoring Studies, Department of Monitoring and Ecological-Analytical Research, the Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology Branch RSE NNC RK for the work “Features of the Formation of Natural Waters in the Eastern Region of Kazakhstan Based on Isotopic and Chemical Studies” – applied research.
  2. Zhanna OSPANOVA – a Junior Researcher of the Laboratory of Advanced Materials, CTC HE, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for work “Thermodynamic and Kinetic Parameters of the Mg₅₆Al₄₄ System for Application in Solid-State Hydrogen Storage Devices” – applied research.

III. Third prizes, diplomas and monetary awards were granted to:

  1. Arystan ASHIBAYEV an Engineer of the Laboratory of Atomic Energy Safety Problems, RSE Institute of Nuclear Physics, ARKAE for work “Irradiation of Be12Cr under Reactor Conditions at Specified Temperature and Dose Regimes” – applied research.
  2. Ainamgul UTESHEVAa Researcher of the Laboratory of Rare Element Technology, Institute of High Technologies, NAC KAZATOMPROM JSC for work “Modern Methods for the Selective Separation of Thorium and Rare-Earth Elements in Process Solutions” – applied research.
  3.  Darkhan SEKENan Engineer of the Laboratory of Studies of Thermophysical and Neutronic Characteristics of Irradiation Facilities, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for the work “Method for Modeling the Volumetric Fuel Distribution in an Experimental Device for Neutronic Calculations” – engineering and technical research.

IV. Certificates and incentive prizes were awarded:

In the nomination “Best Presentation Design”:

– Danil KULBEDIN – an Engineer of the Laboratory of Advanced Materials, CTC HE, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for the work “Concept of a Hybrid Device Model for a Solid-State Hydrogen Storage System” – engineering and technical research.

In the nomination “Originality of the Work”:

– Amina NOKANOVA – an Engineer of the Laboratory of Testing Structural and Fuel Materials, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for the work “Quantitative Determination of Impurities in Ultra-High-Purity Graphite Using ICP-MS Method” – applied research.

In the nomination “Best Speaker”:

– Ospan OKEN – Laboratory Technician, Category II of the Laboratory of Advanced Materials, CTC HE, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for work “Compaction of Simulated Salt-Containing Liquid Radioactive Waste” – applied research.

In the nomination “Most Engaged Participant”:

– Kulan ZHENIS – an Engineer Category II of the Experimental Physics Facilities Laboratory, Department of Fusion Research, the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK for the work “Results of the First Tests of the RF Plasma Heating System of the KTM Tokamak Using a Plasma Load Equivalent” – engineering and technical research.

Ⅴ. Prize for an innovative work was granted to:

Anna DORN – a Research Engineer of Ulba Metallurgical Plant JSC, NAC KAZATOMPROM JSC, for the work “Research on the Production of Gadolinium Oxide from Waste of the Processing Technology of Uranium–Gadolinium-Containing Materials” – engineering and technical research.

VI. All participants of ХХV R&D Conference-Competition for Young Scientists and Specialist of the RSE “National NNC RK” received a certificate of participation.
