The total number of submitted papers – 47, including:

  • 36 papers in the competition (1 fundamental, 10 engineering and technical, 25 applied): IAE – 18, IRSE – 9, Kazatomprom – 5, INP – 3, IGR – 1;

  • 11 papers outside the competition (2 fundamental, 1 engineering and technical, 8 applied): Al-Farabi KazNU – 4; Shakarim University of Semey – 3; Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University – 2; S.Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University – 1; Tomsk Polytechnic University – 1.

Presentation time (including Q&A):

– 20 minutes (for competition participants);

– 15 minutes (for non-competition participants).

The working languages of the conference-competition are Kazakh and Russian.

May 20, Wednesday – opening session, competitions presentations

May 21, Thursday – competition presentations

May 22, Friday – technical tours, closing session, results summary, Roundtable “25 Years of the R&D Competition: From Young Researchers to Leaders of Science”, award ceremony.

THE WINNERS ARE SELECTED BASED ON A 5-POINT SCALE FOR EACH OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Relevance; practical significance (importance of the problem addressed); scientific and engineering level and novelty of results; degree of completion; personal contribution of the participant; presentation style and level of mastery of the topic.

Additional assessment criteria, reflecting the specifics of each field, include:

  • Fundamental – publication level;

  • Engineering and technical – technical solution quality;

  • Applied – competitiveness.

The maximum possible score for each work is 35 points. The winner shall be determined based on the highest total score, obtained by summing the points awarded by all members of the jury.

PRIZE FUND AND NUMBER OF AWARDS, CATEGORIES

Number of prize-winning places and monetary awards:

one first prize in the amount of 55 MCI;

two second prizes in the amount of 35 MCI;

three third prizes in the amount of 27 MCI.

four incentive prizes in the amount of 18 MCI each in the following nominations:

  •  Best Speaker

  •  Best Presentation Design 

  •  Originality of the Work

  •  Most Engaged Participant

one prize for an innovative work in the amount of  12 MCI.

All participants will receive a certificate of participation in the conference-competition.
Prize winners will be awarded diplomas.

All participants are required to prepare presentations of their reports and submit them in PPT/PPTX or PDF format to zatcepina@nnc.kz no later than 19 May 2026.
