Krakow, Poland. Scientists from the National Nuclear Center of RK have presented the results of their radio ecological research at the 8th International Conference on Environmental Radioactivity – ENVIRA 2025, which was held on the basis of the Institute of Nuclear Physics under the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Conference Program comprised more than 250 reports and covered a broad range of topics: impact of nuclear facilities and its decommissioning, use of radionuclides as the indicators of climate and natural processes, conventional materials development and other areas.

Ekaterinburg, Russia. With international involvement NNC RK specialists took part in the All-Russian Conference “Genetics. Evolution. Radioecology.” that was arranged by the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology. The focus was on the issues of genetics, evolution, population ecology and community groups, biophysics, radiobiology and surveying of preserve intact territories. Our researchers presented key findings on tightly bound tritium bioavailability in the former STS soils, the impact of radiation factors on the test site ecosystem and the efficiency of different sorbents under treatment of radioactively contaminated water.

The findings of these reports will serve as a foundation for subsequent research endeavors in international conferences has contributed to the cultivation of global professional networks and the acquisition of valuable feedback from peers in the field
