23 July 2025

From July 21 to 23, 2025, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the 2025 Young Physicist Summer School. Twenty-five students in grades 7–9 from schools in the Maisky District of Pavlodar oblast participated in the program.

The program included lectures, practical classes, and excursions to the National Nuclear Center's facilities. Students attended thematic lectures on current scientific topics, including: "Hydrogen Energy," "Geophysical Research Complex," "What is Radiation?" and others. They were particularly interested in the excursions to the Center for Technological Competence in the Field of Hydrogen Energy, the nuclear test control facility, and the exhibition hall dedicated to the history of the Semipalatinsk test site.

One of the most informative events was visiting the laboratory building, where participants could familiarize themselves with the equipment and conduct practical research.

In addition to the educational component, the program included evening entertainment events: an intellectual game called ‘Brain Ring’ and sports competitions.

At the end of the summer school, each participant was awarded a certificate of successful completion of the program. The Young Physicist summer school opens the doors to the world of science for young researchers every year, sparking their interest in natural sciences and engineering and technical creativity.
