XXIV research and development contest conference among young scientists and specialists RSE “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan”

Republican State Enterprise ‘National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan


The total number of adopted papers – 34, here they are:

 to the contest – 26 pcs. (engineering research number – 10, applied research number – 16): IAE – 13, IRSE – 6, Kazatomprom – 4, IGR – 2, INP – 1;

  • non-competetive papers – 8 pcs. (fundamental research – 3, engineering-technical research - 1; applied research – 4): NJSC “Semey Shakarim University” – 7; NJSC “East Kazakhstan University named after S. Amanzholov” – 1.

Time limit statements by contestants (considering Q&A) – 20 min.

The working language of the conference-contest are Kazakh and Russian.

WORK SCHEDULE

May 21, Wednesday             – registration, opening, presentation papers by contestants

May 22, Thursday    – contestants reports

May 23, Friday         – contest completion, concluding, technical tours

CRUCIAL DEADLINES

June 23, Monday – reception of articles, recommended for the publishing in “NNC Bullet-in” (according to the journal requirements)

FOLLOWING CRITERIA WAS USED FOR DETERMINING OF WINNER:

  • relevance;
  • practical value (significance for problem, which this article dedicated);
  • scientific and engineering, originality, scientific novelty of the findings;
  • degree of paper completion;
  • personal contribution by contestant;
  • style of presentation and knowledge.

Additional assessment criteria are in place, taking into account the specificity of these directions:

  • fundamental studies – publication level;
  • engineering-technical studies – development of technical solutions;
  • applied studies – competitiveness.

The winner is selected based on the total points accumulated from all members of the jury, and points are then summed to determine the winner.

AMOUNT OF BONUS PAYMENTS, NOMINATIONS

Number of prizes and cash rewards: 290 monthly notional units;

one first place reward   55 monthly notional units;

two second place rewards  per 35 monthly notional units for each;

three third place reward per 27 monthly notional units;

four incentive mentions per 18 monthly notional units; by following nominations:

  • best speaker;
  • best thesis preparation;
  • paper originality;
  • active contestant

one piece of reward for innovative work in amount of 12 monthly notional units.

Each participant will receive a certificate of participation in the conference-competition. Those who have been recognized with prizes are presented with appropriate diplomas.

All participants are requested to prepare presentations of their reports and submit them via email in ppt, pptx or pdf format to budanova@nnc.kz – by May 15, 2025.
