Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Delegation Paid Working Visit

The National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by a delegation from the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences that was headed by the Chairman, Academician Valentin Nikolayevich Parmon.  

During the visit, the guests briefed in detail on the key areas of the NNC activities and its advanced scientific and technological capabilities. Particular attention was paid to tours of unique research facilities and laboratories. Many of these conduct studies that have few or no analogues worldwide and are aimed at enhancing the safety of nuclear energy, ensuring radiation safety and strengthening the non-proliferation regime. 

A substantive exchange of views took place on current issues related to the development of scientific infrastructure and the expansion of international cooperation. A separate block of discussions was devoted to approaches to the formation of science cities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the accumulated experience of the Russian Federation, including the effective integration of science, education and high-tech business. 

Following the visit, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further developing partnership relations, implementing joint scientific projects and strengthening cooperation in the field of advanced research and technologies. 

National Nuclear Center of RK expressed gratitude to its colleagues for the productive dialogue and their readiness for further cooperation.
