The Second International Forum of Academicians was successfully held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the Second Central Asia-China Summit.
The event aimed to promote resolving pressing global challenges, such as climate change, desertification, population growth, and poverty alleviation, by implementing scientific research and advanced technologies. Organizers included the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Xi'an Jiaotong University.
Erlan Batyrbekov, the Director General of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan and Academician, took part in the forum. He shared his vision for developing nuclear energy and discussed the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan's contributions to ensuring safety and developing cutting-edge areas, such as controlled thermonuclear fusion and hydrogen energy.
Discussions on "green" issues will continue on the sidelines of the summit in Astana.
