For the first time in Kazakhstan, the International Higher Technical School began its work in Oskemen. The school can become a center for training staff of the nuclear industry. The topic of training specialists for the nuclear industry is relevant to Kazakhstan. Recently, with the National Nuclear Center located in Kurchatov, the five branches of training have been opened in universities. Graduates of international universities work here, too. The center has a personnel reserve.
OLGA MOMOT, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF RUSSIAN RESEARCH NUCLEAR UNIVERSITY:
- Russia actively promotes and builds the most modern WWER-1200 reactor in different countries and I explain the advantage of these technologies.
VALERIYA GAMULINA, MANAGER, STAFF DEVELOPMENT, ULBA METALLURGICAL PLANT:
- This year our students of graduate programs started their trainings according to the demand from the plant. Today, 187 graduates of the first department are working at the plant. This is not enough and we try to solve this problem by joint preparation.
According to international experts, Kazakhstan can become a country of high technology. For this purpose, the republic has all the resources, production facilities and human capital.
KENNETH SEGAL, ISRAELI PROFESSOR:
- Development of the transport infrastructure will make the country convenient and accessible for commodity exchange. The introduction of new technologies will put Kazakhstan on a par with the most advanced countries in the world. The development of a local smart industry with its own raw materials will contribute to the emergence of high-quality and competitive products from Kazakhstan in the international market. The country can become not only a consumer, but also a producer of high technologies.
