CONFERENCE VENUE

The Conference will be held in Kurchatov, Abai Region, Republic of Kazakhstan, at the premises of the Republican State Enterprise “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The conference program includes tours to the “Experimental Field” and “Atomic Lake” sites of Semipalatinsk Test Site (STS), experimental facilities (research reactors – IGR and IVG.1M, Kazakhstan material testing tokamak KTM, etc.), STS exhibition hall. The conference will be held in-person.

Working languages of the Conference is Kazakh, Russian and English.

PAPER ABSTRACTS

The electronic version of paper abstract shall be submitted by August 7, 2023 via e-mail: conf2023@nnc.kz

The abstract should not be longer than 1 page, А4 format (210×297 mm) with the margins:
upper, left, down – 25 mm; right – 15 mm.

Typestyle – Times New Roman in height - 12, single space.

The paper title should be typed with capital letters, below the title – initials and surnames of authors, name of organization, city and state they represent.

The proceedings of paper abstracts will be issued by the beginning of the Conference.

SCHEDULE

September 11, Monday – arrival of the conference participants.

September 12, Tuesday – opening of the conference, sessions.

September 13, Wednesday – sessions.

September 14, Thursday – closing of the conference, technical tours.

September 15, Friday departure of conference participants.

REGISTRATION FEE

Standard registration fee for the participation is 100 US Dollars in KZT in accordance with MICE rate as of the date of payment.

The fee may be transferred until September 1, 2023 to the operating accounts of RSE “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

The registration fee can be paid in cash when registering on the day of the conference opening.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS’ ARRIVAL AND ACCOMMODATION

The conference participants shall inform the conference secretariat of the date and number of flight (or train trip details) when they intend to arrive to the airport closest to Kurchatov town (Semey, Pavlodar) or rail ticket details to Degelen station by September 1, 2023 via e-mail sent to the address conf2023@nnc.kz. All the participants, who arrive to the conference, will be provided with transfer from the airport, railway station and delivered to the hotel. The Secretariat will provide assistance with hotel room booking. The Organizational committee does not guarantee accommodation or meeting of participants who do not provide their arrival information. The participants are also encouraged to take care of a return ticket in advance and report data on the departure to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee.

INFORMATION FOR THE PARTICIPANTS

The time limit for the papers on the first day of plenary session is 20 minutes, second and third day – 15 minutes, including Q&A session. There will be a poster session on the second day. The poster paper shall contain 1–2 sheets, format А1. Duration of the poster session is 0.5 of a day.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided at the conference sessions.

To ensure good quality of simultaneous interpretation, the speakers should submit their presentations in advance via e-mail to the Organizing Committee or upon their arrival to Kurchatov.

Should the conference participants and accompanying persons need visa support, please address to the conference Secretariat via e-mail conf2023@nnc.kz no later than August 1, 2023.
