Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of Kazakhstan and Junichiro Koizumi, the Prime-Minister of Japan, signed the joint statement for further friendship, partnership and cooperation on Monday in Astana, reported press agencies.
This document was signed following the results of the sides' negotiation in extended composition of the delegations.
In addition, Baktykoja Izmuhambetov, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Tazuo Ito, Japan's ambassador to Kazakhstan signed the memorandum of intentions between the governments of both countries of cooperation development in the sphere of peaceful use of nuclear power.
Junichiro Koizumi, the Prime-Minister of Japan considers the cooperation with Kazakhstan in the sphere of nuclear power as prospective.
"I believe, the cooperation in the sphere of nuclear power, including uranium field development is prospective one", - remarked Junichiro Koizumi at the joint press-briefing with Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of Kazakhstan after negotiations on Monday in Astana.
"According to the memorandum signed today, we begin the execution of contracts on nuclear power", - said Koizumi J.
