The working visit of Danial Akhmetov, Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan to Moscow is continued

The working visit of Danial Akhmetov, Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan to Moscow is continued. The negotiations on development of transport and energy were conducted here. The sides noted that instructions of heads of Kazakhstan and Russia for establishment of joint enterprises and extension of economic cooperation were executed successfully.

- The issues on projects in space sphere, atomic industry and opening of transport corridor through Russia and Kazakhstan were discussed during the working visit of Kazakhstani governmental delegation to Moscow.

The first meeting in the capital of the Russian Federation was held with German Gref, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Russia. The sides discussed the concept of Europe-West China transport corridor that is planned to be opened in 5 years. Project details will be discussed in a month. Moreover, problems of transportation through Caspii and air space of Kazakhstan were spoken.

Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of RK:
- Russian Federation, indeed, is strategic partner of our country and we are certainly interested in economic development of Russian Federation as we understand that future of both states is only in integration of economics and coordination of our joint plans.

German Gref, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of RF:
- This project can be implemented not less than during 5-6 years. But it is absolutely new, interesting transport corridor which can be opened on the territory of our country. We also agreed to coordinate our actions in the sphere of air transportations.

Later the head of the Kazakhstani government discussed implementation of the agreements concluded in Aktau this summer with Sergey Kiriyenko, head of Federal Atomic Energy Agency. Kazakhstani Prime Minister noted that cooperation in this sphere was successful. Three joint enterprises on uranium production extraction in Kazakhstan its enrichment in Russia and design of small and medium-powered facilities of VBR 300 were established for the use on the territory of Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries of the world; all the constitutive documents were signed. Moreover it is planned to build nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan, firstly in West Kazakhstan and probably in Kurchatov. Danial Akhmetov stressed that Kazakhstani Russian cooperation in atomic sphere is a complex program on peaceful use of atomic energy. And one more important point is the development of human capital that is Kazakhstani specialists for atomic industry will be trained in Russia.

Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of RK:
- This program has 8 conceptual directions. It addresses not only some technological moments but also first of all the development of human capital and training of Kazakhstani specialists. It is also the opportunity of Kazakhstan participation in new innovative directions in the field of atomic energy in Russian Federation.

Sergey Kiriyenko, head of the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency:
- Russia and Kazakhstan jointly establish the International Center on uranium enrichment to be used not only for our countries but for any country of the world which is going to develop peaceful use of atomic energy.

Sergey Kiriyenko noted unprecedented raise of instructions realization of Kazakhstan and Russia presidents on joint enterprises establishment. "Only few months have passed and Joint Enterprises have already been founded", - he said. The next meeting for the projects on atomic energy will be held at the beginning of December on the Kazakhstani deposit Zarechnoye when the first ton of uranium is extracted at the joint Kazakhstani - Russian enterprise. Besides, Danial Akhmetov participated in meeting of International Council of Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC).
