The constitutive documents of three joint Russian-Kazakhstan atomic power peaceful use enterprises were signed on October 12 in Moscow. This was informed to agency by "Rosatom" press service.
As is explained by the press-service the documents constitute participation of Russian and Kazakhstan organizations in the JE (Joint Enterprise) on a parity basis, with equal shares in authorized capital.
In particular, documents are signed for establishment of JE "Nuclear plants" registered in Almaty which is designed for development and promotion of projects for power facilities with low and medium power nuclear reactors at markets of Russia, Kazakhstan and third countries.
JE "Akbastau" (Almaty) is being established to develop Zarechnoye field, South Kazakhstan region and sections of Budenovskoye uranium deposits in Kazakhstan.
JE "Uranium enrichment center" is registered in Angarsk where an international center is planned to be established for nuclear fuel cycle services including uranium enrichment. The center will operate under IAEA control. According to Sergey Kirienko, head of "Rosatom", the center will enable the new countries to get low-enriched uranium for nuclear power, but guarantees nuclear weapon non-proliferation".
