AGENDA

The Conference is dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of Institute of Atomic Energy NNC RK. The Conference provided a broadened culture program. The following issues will be discussed at the conference: future cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy, including Development and Prospects of NNP projects, Physics investigation of nuclear reactors and Safety of Nuclear plants, Integration in the field of Development&Testing of perspective nuclear fuel and reactor materials, Cooperation in Staff training for Kazakhstan nuclear-power sector.

The other themes will be presented as poster reports.
Every paper will be issued.

VENUE

The Conference will be hosted by the NNC Institute of Atomic Energy of RK, Kurchatov.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGES

The working languages of the Conference are Russian and English. It is assumed to translate papers simultaneous.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for CIS and RK participants is US$ 50 and for participants for other countries is US$ 200 using the exchange rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan on the day of Registration.

The fee covers technical support, a book of abstracts, coffee-breaks, and formal banquets. The registration fee should be paid either in cash on the registration or transferred to the NNC IAE RK accounts no later than May, 15, 2008.

Conference papers: Papers will be issued by NNC and send to conference participants after the Conference.

PARTICIPANTS ARRIVAL AND ACCOMMODATION

All the participants informing org. committee about their arrival will be met in airports of Semey, Pavlodar or at railway stations Semey or Degelen and accompanied in Kurchatov. Secretariat reserves places in Hotel for all the participants.

Conference participants are supposed to be placed in the following hotels:

ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS

Duration of papers on plenary meetings is 30 minutes, papers on round tables - 15 minutes. Size of stand for stand papers 560х840 mm (format А1)

Abstracts, prepared as MS Word files both in Russian and English, and should be submitted to the Conference Secretariat during Conference work. Please, use Times New Roman 12 pt. The abstract should not exceed 1 page. Please, use sheets of A4 format (210×297 mm) with the following margins:

25 mm - top             30 mm - left; and

25 mm - bottom       15 mm - right.

The paper title should be capitalized. Leave two lines blank and type names of authors and their affiliations, including organization and country. Then, leave two lines blank and type abstract leaving 1,5 line blank. Paper text for issuing should be camera ready. Illustrations, tables and literature list should be included in paper text. Illustrations should be black-and-white. Text volume of plenary papers and papers on round tables should not exceed 10 pages, other - 6 pages. A book of abstracts will be issued before the Conference.

Full papers prepared as a hard copy or e-form should be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by the registration. Papers will be issued after the Conference.

EXCURSIONS

On Friday, June, 13, 2008 the conference participants can visit NNC RK objects of Kurchatov city.

WEATHER

It is usually warmly and sunny in the beginning of June in Kurchatov. Atmospheric temperature in the afternoon from  +25⁰С, in the night +18 - +20⁰С.
