PLACE OF THE CONFERENCE

The Conference will be held in Kurchatov, Kazakhstan, hosted by National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

CONFERENCE LANGUAGES

Conference languages will be Russian and English.
Papers should be submitted in the working languages of the Conference.

ORGANIZATIONAL FEE

Organizational fee for the participants from Kazakhstan and FSU countries is $50 USD, from other countries - $200 USD.
The organizational fee covers technical services, book of Conference abstracts, coffee breaks and official reception.
Organizational fee is paid in cash at the reception or can be transferred by August 1, 2007 to the account of NNC RK.

Registration of participants will take place in Kurchatov, at "Mayak" hotel on Sunday, 2 September, from 14:00 to 18:00 hours, and before the beginning of  the first plenary session Monday, 3 September  from 8:00 to 10:00 in the session hall.

Please bring with you identification documents to facilitate your entry to the meeting premises and to ensure prompt registration.

Registration is handled by local organization committee with the issuance of a badge which is required in order to enter the building.

Conference:  A preliminary program is available on the web site of the Conference.

Material:  The final program and the book of abstracts will be available upon registration.

Proceedings: The proceedings of the meeting will be published by the NNC RK as soon as possible after the conference.

Accommodation: Local organization committee will make hotel reservation for all participants.

ARRIVAL AND HOTEL RESERVATION

All conference participants are expected to provide the Organizing Committee via e-mail or fax with the dates and flight numbers they are arriving to the airports of Semipalatinsk, Pavlodar or railway stations Semipalatinsk, Degelen before 10 August 2007. All Conference participants will be met and provided with transportation to Kurchatov.

PAPERS

Papers at plenary sessions are planned for 20 minutes; thematic session papers - 20 minutes. Poster space is 560õ840 mm (À1 paper format).

The papers (electronic and paper copies) should to be submitted to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee at the Conference. Please use font Times New Roman with a height of 12 points and paper size A4 (210x297 mm) with margins: top - 25 mm; left - 30 mm; bottom - 25 mm; right - 15 mm.

The titles should be printed in capital letters. Please, leave two intervals between the report titles, authors' names and titles of organizations and country. After that, having left 2 intervals, paper text is printed with 1.5 line spacing. Paper text is expected to be camera-ready. Illustrations and figures are to be black-and-white.  Plenary and invited papers should not exceed 10 pages, session papers - 6 pages. Conference Proceedings will be published after the Conference.

Conference Participants and their accompanying persons that need entry visa to the Republic of Kazakhstan are to provide the Organizing Committee via e-mail (volkova(at)nnc.kz) or fax (32-251)2-33-  with the following information to get required visa support (by 2 August 2007):

TECHNICAL TOUR

A technical tour of the NNC RK reactors and the experimental base in Kurchatov, is planned for, Thursday 6 September 2007.

EXHIBITION

A limited amount of space will be available for commercial exhibitors' displays/exhibits during the conference. Interested parties should contact the Scientific Secretariat.

WEATHER

It is usually sunny and warm in Kurchatov early in September. Day temperature is about +20ºC with night average of about 14-18ºC. Accidental rain may happen. Wind is often.
