During the period since 1992 year National Nuclear Center of Republic of Kazakhstan on behalf of the higher organs prepared and held the following international scientific-technical conferences (seminars), where the different problems, regarding the use of the nuclear energy and nuclear technologies, were considered:
During that period many directions of the development of the nuclear energy and nuclear technologies, as applied to Kazakhstan were spoken in the future.
In the present time in the Republic the legal and normative base in the sphere of the application of the nuclear energy is created, the enterprises of the uranium industry succeed, the scientific researches are carried out on the research nuclear reactors and experimental facilities, such large scientific-technical projects as "Creation of disciplinary accelerating complex in Gumilev L.N’s Eurasian State University" in Astana, "Creation of Kazakhstan’s thermal-nuclear material testing reactor-tokamak ÊÒÌ" in Kurchatov, "Creation of the Nuclear Medicine Center" in the Alatau settlement are realized. According to the decision of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. À. Nazarbayev the work on creating of the technopark "Center of Nuclear Technologies", where it is planned to place among other basic nuclear facilities the multi-purpose low-powered nuclear reactor, meant for producing the heat and electric energy, producing the isotopes, conducting the scientific researches, personnel training is started.
2005 year is the year of the some anniversaries, very significant for Kazakhstan’s nuclear activity:
Owing to the mentioned above, it is advisable to conduct the international scientific-technical conference "Nuclear Energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. NE-2005" in Kurchatov next year (2005).
