UKP-2-1 Electrostatic Charge-Exchange Accelerator

UKP-2-1 accelerator is an electrostatic tandem of heavy ions based on Kokroft-Walton cascade generator. At the accelerator accelerated beams of protons, heavy ions (up to thallium) and inert gases with the energy of up to 2MeV/nucleon were received.

Due to a number of modifications energy dispersion in the beam of ~100eV at proton energy of 1MeV was received.

At the accelerator the work in the field of low-energy nuclear physics, solid state physics, plasma physics, ecology and medicine is conducted.
