The NNC RK is a leading enterprise in the Republic on fundamental and applied studies in the field of nuclear physics and solid-state physics.
Fundamental studies conducted by a scientific team (over 24 Doctors and 110 Candidates of Sciences) obtained the world recognition.
Scientific-technical potential and unique facilities available such as U-150M isochronous cyclotron and electrostatic heavy ion accelerator enable to carry out the following tasks:
- experimental study of nuclear interaction mechanisms between charged particles and light/heavy nuclei, analysis of their structure and nuclear interaction constant;
- experimental study of fission reaction and quasi-fission of heavy and superheavy particles and model description of these processes;
- study of structure and properties of collective and quasi-particle states of many-nucleon systems to develop sequential theory of nuclei structure;
- theoretical study of interaction processes between particles and light nuclei and atomic nuclei;
- theoretical studies of dispersion resonance and threshold anomalies in the nuclear systems of particles;
- determination of nuclei lifetimes, excited states quantum parameters, nuclei levels population and reaction areas (n, n'y).
